Munis Rashid grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA in Finance and a BS in Radio-Television-Film. He spent the summer of 2014 on a cross-country bicycle ride from Austin, TX to Anchorage, AK.  

In 2016, Munis graduated from the American Film Institute with an MFA in Screenwriting.

Munis won the Grand Prize at the 14th Annual American Zoetrope Screenplay Contest and the Carol Mendelsohn College Drama Fellowship at the 2017 Humanitas Prize. He was selected to participate in the 2018 CBS Writers Mentoring Program. 

Munis spent three years writing for S.W.A.T. on CBS. He is currently a Producer for The Night Agent on Netflix.
